Glass has been at the heart of Gallotti&Radice’s identity since its inception. For founders Pierangelo Gallotti e Luigi Radice, their Como-based workshop became a laboratory where craftsmanship and technical research converged, revitalizing an ancient practice through tireless experimentation. As one of the first companies in Italy to explore glass within furniture design, the brand distinguished itself by introducing the metal joint. This element evolved from a mere structural necessity into a defining stylistic hallmark, creating a design language where form and function are inextricably intertwined. In the 1970s, a pivotal collaboration with architect Luigi Massoni led to the creation of Adam, the first Gallotti&Radice table made entirely of glass. Together with a curated selection of original archival pieces, it reveals a profound mastery of the material—guided by a clarity of vision and a rigorous sense of balance. It remains an enduring narrative of design icons and continuous innovation.
