Valentina Cameranesi Sgroi

Valentina Cameranesi Sgroi is a Milan-based independent creative director and set designer working both with the physical objects design and their presentation, through spaces or images. Born in Rome, began her career studying product design, upon graduating she started working freelance both in the publishing industry and as textile pattern designer. Valentina Cameranesi conducts also an ongoing personal research where she explores the relationship between the artificial and the natural, and the presence of objects and specific shapes in the collective memory, especially inthe vernacular decoration, through various media, mostly photography, video and ceramics.She also curates the depiction of those objects by collaborating with different photographers, using the representation of the object itself as a tool to evoke an imaginary context placed between reality and constructed set up.
