Loulou Rock
Gliding rocking chair
Loulou Rock
(david/nicolas, 2025)
The rocking chair tells a deeply personal story intertwined with the history of global design. Originally designed ten years ago for the debut of a solo exhibition in Beirut, our home country, it is a reflection of our cultural heritage and family traditions. Taking
inspiration from our grandmothers and the eternal presence of rocking chairs in
Lebanese homes, the design aims to capture the emotional resonance of nostalgia,
reinterpreting it for a contemporary audience. This iconic chair balances minimalist
elegance with careful craftsmanship. The sleek silhouette is embellished with brass
details, such as the backrest fasteners, that recall a commitment to fine materials and enduring quality. The mix of traditional influences and modern aesthetics gives this
piece a universal dimension, able to resonate across different cultures and design
sensibilities.
Rocking chair with matt black painted metal
frame and polished stainless steel details, also available in polished brass finish. Seat with
internal structure in wood and derivatives, and backrest roll both with non-deformable
polyurethane foam padding in differentiated densities. Upholstery in fabric or leather in the colours of the sample collection. Armrests in
solid wood stained black. Not removable.
