Sculptural

9(2)

A harmonious balance between innovation and memory, between contemporary vision and traditional savoir-faire. Materials come alive with personality and character, creating a sensory journey where touch and sight come together to evoke authentic emotions. A fluid and dynamic narrative transforms the space, through novel perspectives and vibrant combinations. Every corner of the dining area is renewed in surprising shapes, telling an unexpected material language, born from the encounter between aesthetic research and craftsmanship. The new Tratto hanging lamps, the fruit of Draga&Aurel's intuition, give identity to the room and emphasise its atmosphere. An impalpable graphic sign, which decomposes and recomposes the purity of the glass cylinder, transforming it into a sculpture of light, marked and delicate, versatile and at the same time scenographic, drawing a luminous cascade in the air that enchants and seduces, a perfect synthesis between decorative object and illuminating body. Formed by hand-cut crystal diffusers shaded in shades of "amaranto", "zafferano", “evo” and "polvere" and available in horizontal and vertical configurations, for design, aesthetic and formal flexibility, with the possibility of height adjustment. Giving shape to the room is the table by Studiopepe whose structure is developed through a play of overlapping joints. Selce-T reads through the concept of cutout, evoking the idea of emptiness, synonymous with infinite possibilities, freedom and limitless creative openness. The sculptural features contribute to enhancing its scenic presence and the ‘rough ground’ finish gives the table a textured effect, in a line of continuity both on the top and on the base with chromatic streaks resulting from manual spatula application. The chromatic proposal includes "Crema" and "Bruciato", to which are added “Conchiglia” and "Grafite", all born from the virtuous re-use of natural stones reduced to powder that translate into a new material language. Alongside the standard round and oval variants, custom-made solutions can also be realised with two tops placed side by side that can reach a length of up to 5 metres.

The lines of the Admira sideboard, conceived by the creative vision of Silvia Gallotti, embrace space with elegance, reflecting a distinctive style that is evident in every detail. Made of matt lacquered wood in the colours “Bianco Camargue”, “Sabbia del Nilo, “Rosa Jaipur”, “Rosso Persia”, “Bordeaux Etruria”, “Verde Provenza”, “Blu Pacifico”, “Grigio Londra” and “Nero Giza”, also available in the total colour version, with doors and back in lacquered glass in the same colour as the structure and on request also available with an internal shelf in tempered 8mm extralight glass. The sideboard reveals a double soul in different variants: the aluminium leaf, the copper leaf rather than gold leaf applied to glass doors and backs, transform the surface into a lively and dynamic canvas where light is captured and reflected, creating an effect of depth and luminosity. Its doors, which open to the front or back, reveal themselves as an invitation, making it ideal as a room centrepiece. The winning feature is modularity: the project aims to identify a modular system that allows the development of compositions with different dimensions to meet the ever-increasing demands for customisation in the furnishing of single-module interiors up to multiple compositions.

APPLICATION OF ALUMINIUM, COPPER AND GOLD LEAF ON GLASS AS A REINTERPRETATION OF TRADITION

The application of leaves made from precious materials such as aluminium, copper and gold is a well-known and widespread technique on wood, which Gallotti&Radice has managed to innovate by transferring it to crystal. The craftsman's skill lies in giving the glass the appearance of metal. Thus the double personality of the sheet emerges: on one side the oxidised leaf, on the other the leaf in its original colour, creating an unexpected contrast that plays on the transparency of the glass. The leaves are almost impalpable, made from metal spheres subjected to very strong pressure that transforms them into very thin sheets that embellish only one side of the transparent crystal sheet. The aluminium leaf transforms the surface into a painting in continuous transformation, in which light refracts and reflects, generating suggestive intensity and brilliance. The copper leaves expresses itself through shades ranging from pinkish, reddish to brown. While gold has always exerted an irresistible charm, a symbol of value and wealth. Its precious essence and intrinsic value capture light and reflect it, restoring wonder and splendour.

With its feminine and contemporary design, the 0414 chair embodies the perfection of Italian craftsmanship, a symbol of timeless aesthetics inspired by Italian design of the 1960s and 1970s.  A contrast of sharp geometric lines and a sense of balance between modernity and tradition, functionality and decoration. Fully customisable according to the customer's needs: from the finish of the wooden structure to the colours, from the type of upholstery in fabric or leather to the choice of colours, for a unique, made-to-measure product.
