70 years of love for glass @ DesignBlok
Gallotti&Radice took part in Designblok 2026 with Glass Vision, a site-specific installation conceived by renowned Czech designer Lucie Koldová in collaboration with STOPKA, showcasing a distinctive vision of glass through design, materiality and light. Glass Vision celebrated glass as a universal language of timeless elegance. Within the installation, the sensitivity of Italian design and craftsmanship, embodied by the Gallotti&Radice Collection, unfolded through a scenographic composition inspired by the heritage of Czech glassmaking. The result was a captivating dialogue between light, form and texture, bringing together two distinctive design traditions in an immersive and evocative experience.
Taking place from 7 to 11 October 2026 at the Trade Fair Palace, National Gallery Prague, the project celebrated the longstanding relationship between Gallotti&Radice and glass, while creating a dialogue between Italian design culture and the rich glassmaking heritage of the Czech Republic. The collaboration comes at a particularly meaningful moment for Gallotti&Radice, as the company celebrates 70 years of history. Founded in 1956, the brand has made glass one of the defining elements of its identity, combining sophisticated craftsmanship, technological research and an unmistakable poetic approach to the material. The connection between Lucie Koldová and Gallotti&Radice is also rooted in a shared appreciation for a sensitive, intuitive and almost dreamlike approach to design. Koldová was particularly inspired by the female leadership of Gallotti&Radice and by the values that have shaped the company throughout its history.
