Best of Cairo Design Week with Villa Magenta
Gallotti&Radice, in collaboration with Villa Magenta, participated in Cairo Design Week, a leading event in the country that celebrates art and design through a curated program of events, engaging experiences and dynamic exhibitions.
As part of this vibrant scenario, “TERRA - MATERIA - FORMA” : a journey through material discovery, curated by DIVAZ Studio, highlighted the company's ongoing research and experimentation.
This experience transformed the ground floor of Villa Magenta into a living manifesto of materials capable of expressing their identity. An ode to the poetry of artisanal excellence and the tradition that sustains it, where glass, stone, cotton and metals were not merely elements, but evolving states that break down the evolution of design into its primary components through a visual narrative. Here, their expressive power took shape in space: each room became a chapter in the life of materials, illustrated through immersive scenography. Visitors were invited to explore the installation, letting themselves be captivated by the metallic shimmer of copper leaf applied to glass (Sensei), by the sustainability expressed through the infinite cycle of glass reuse that gives rise to a new material (Re-Verre), by textures born from the metamorphosis of natural stones (Simpòdio) and by the softness of cotton (Pleiadi).
To complete the journey, a true atelier offered guests the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the Gallotti&Radice's world, exploring the new creations up close and experiencing firsthand the finishes that make each piece unique.
“Sense of materials” was a workshop dedicated to professionals, offering an exclusive opportunity to closely observe and appreciate the textures, finishes and material details that characterize the brand's design language. Participants then had the opportunity to take an active role thanks to the mirror engraving experience—a refined and emotional journey to discover the origins of the brand.
“TERRA - MATERIA - FORMA” was not just an exhibition, but a poetic narration through matter, where creation became visible and tangible, and the invisible work of craftsmanship emerged as the true protagonist. A special thank you to Villa Magenta for enabling us to take part in this important initiative, giving the opportunity to celebrate timeless design and handcrafted excellence.
